WEEKEND RESULTS…

SOCCER
Lakeshore went 2-1 at the East Lansing Tournament, falling 1-0 to DeWitt in the championship match. Tony Testini had two goals and an assist on the day for the Lancers.

 

Watervliet won the three team Bridgman Tournament with a 4-0 win over Bridgman and a 6-6 tie with Bangor. Nathan Isbrecht scored four goals on the day for the Panthers.

 

Michigan Lutheran won the Coloma Tournament as they defeated Constantine 3-1 and Coloma 1-0 (winning a shootout 3-2).  AJ Deweerd finished with two goals and an assist in the win over Constantine.

 

Niles defeated Buchanan 8-0 but fell to Dowagiac 3-2. Cade Vota scored twice in the win over the Bucks with Drew Gourlay making three saves in goal. Kyle Bruckner scored twice for Niles in the loss to Dowagiac.

 

Edwardsburg went 2-1 at the David Ni Memorial Tournament. The Eddies scored wins over North Muskegon and Berrien Springs but fell to Kalamazoo Central. Nate Bessinger and Anthony Castelucci each scored three goals on the day.

 

 

VOLLEYBALL
St. Joe finished 0-4 at the Grand Haven Invitational. The Bears fell to Hudsonville, Jennison, South Christian, and Caledonia. Karly Klaer led the Bears with 14 kills and 19 assists, and 7 digs.

 

Buchanan went 3-2 at the Loy Norrix Tournament, falling to Galesburg-Augusta in the finals. The Bucks got 28 kills, 12 digs, and 16 aces from Josie West. Claire Shelton added 84 assists while Hailey Jonazke finished with 30 digs.

 

Niles went 1-4 at the Portage Central Invitational. The Vikings defeated Marshall, but came up short against Div. 2 state champion Grand Rapids Christian, Division 1 state runner-up Rockford, Cadillac, and Bedford.

 

 

GOLF
Niles placed 9th at the Lakeview Invitational. Skyler Brawley led the Vikings with a 97.

 

 

TENNIS
St. Joe went 2-1 at the Zeeland East Invitational. Going undefeated on the day for the Bears were Athan Gregory at #3 singles, Trey Beauchamp and Kaleb Parrett at #1 doubles, and Levi Beam and Tyler Romano at #4 doubles.

 

 

CROSS COUNTRY
The St. Joe boy’s placed 7th at the Harper Creek Optimist Invitational. Drew Nisbet finished 15th overall with a time of 18:46.
The St. Joe Girls’ placed 6th overall. Riley Mullen led the Bears with a 3rd place finish and a time of 21:19.
