St. Joe came away with a 1-0 win over Lakeview in their SMAC Tournament match-up. The Bears’ Megan Corbe scored the game’s only goal in the second overtime.
Mattawan 4, Lakeshore 0
Lakeshore fell to Mattawan 4-0 in their opening round match of the SMAC Tournament. Mackenzie Swineheart scored three times for the Wildcats.
Coloma 2, Saugatuck 0
Coloma got a goal and an assist from Emma Tavolacci in a 2-0 win over Saugatuck. Ashley Sipla scored the Comets’ other goal with Tristen Howard making five saves in net.
Hackett 6, Watervliet 0
Hackett scored four goals in the first half on their wat to a 6-0 win over Watervliet. Panther goalkeeper Victoria Smith made over 20 saves in the loss.
Buchanan 8, New Buffalo 0
Erica Mitchell scored four goals in leading Buchanan to an 8-0 win over New Buffalo. Mitchell now has 28 goals on the season as she continues to add to her school record setting season.
Niles 7, Battle Creek Central 0
A four goal 1st half propelled Niles to a 7-0 win over Battle Creek Central in their opening round SMAC Tournament match-up.

Watervliet 11, Lawton 1 – Game 1
Watervliet posted an 11-1 win over Lawton in game one of their SAC doubleheader. The Panthers put the game away with a seven run 5th inning. Tyler Brant collected three hits for Watervliet while Bryant Kieft added two. Freshman Garrett Matthews picked up the win on the mound.
Watervliet 10, Lawton 3 – Game 2
Watervliet scored three runs in the 1st inning and four more in the 2nd on their way to a 10-3 win in game two. Cameron Rendo led the Panther offense with three hits. Watervliet pitchers Brandin Legon and Bryant Kieft limited Lawton to six hits.
Hartford 7, Lawrence 5 – Game 1
Hartford pounded out 14 hit in a 7-5 win over Lawrence in game one of their SAC doubleheader. For Lawrence, Hunter Coombs collected three singles.
Hartford 7, Lawrence 6 – Game 2
Hartford scored two runs in the top of the 7th inning to pull out a 7-6 win over Lawrence in game 2. Cody Tetreau drove in three runs in the loss for the Tigers.
Hackett 8, Saugatuck 7 – Game 1
Hackett pulled out an 8-7 win over Saugatuck in game one of their doubleheader. Saugatuck rallied with four runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game a 7. The Irish responded with a run in the bottom of the 7th to win it.
Hackett 12, Saugatuck 2 – Game 2
A strong start lifted Hackett to a 12-2 win over Saugatuck and a doubleheader sweep of the Indians. The Irish started the game with a three run 1st inning and added four more runs in the 4th on their way to the victory.

Watervliet cruised to an 18-6 win over Lawton in game one of their SAC doubleheader. Lawton took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning, but the Panthers responded with a five run 2nd inning, a nine run 3rd, and a four run 4th. Mahkala Clay turned in a single, a double, and three RBIs for Watervliet while Ariana Rowe added a double, a home run, and two RBIs. Kara Liles pitched five innings in picking up the win.
Watervliet 16, Lawton 1 – Game 2
Watervliet used an 18 hit attack to beating Lawton 16-1 in game two. Ariana Rowe collected two doubles, a home run, and two RBIs for the Panthers. Kara Liles added two doubles, a single, and four RBIs for Watervliet. Karlee Liles picked up the win in the circle to improve to 11-0 on the season.
