MONDAY
SOCCER
Mattawan 3,  Lakeshore 1
In a match that saw all the scoring take place in the 1st half, Mattawan defeated Lakeshore 3-1. Natalie Stamply scored the only goal for the Lancers. Hannah Miller scored twice for the Wildcats with Mackenzie Swinehart providing the third goal.

Michigan Lutheran 3,  Buchanan 2
Michigan Lutheran came away with a 3-2 win over Buchanan. The Titans scored twice in the 1st half and took a 2-1 lead into the break. Buchanan struck first in the 2nd half to tie the game, but Lutheran scored the game winner at the 34:00 mark.

Hackett Catholic Central 3,  Coloma 2 – 2 OT
Hackett outlasted Coloma 3-2 in double overtime. The Irish scored in the 95th minute of the second overtime to pull it out. Tristin Hicks scored both goals for the Comets.

Bangor 5,  Watervliet 1
Bangor scored four unanswered goals in the 2nd half to pull out a 5-1 win over Watervliet. Victoria Smith scored the lone goal for the Panthers.

Niles 8,  Battle Creek Central 0
Niles blanked Battle Creek Central 8-0. Emily Gaines and Delaney Mudd each scored twice for the Vikings. Bailee Kessler recorded the shutout in goal.

Grace Christian 5,  Berrien Springs 4
A four run 6th inning lifted Grace Christian to a 5-4 win over Berrien Springs. The Patriots out hit the Shamrocks 8-6.

Hackett Catholic Central 2,  Watervliet 1 – Game 2
Hackett defeated Watervliet 2-1 in game one of their doubleheader. The Fighting Irish scored two runs in the 6th inning. The Panthers scored a run in the 7th on an Alyssa Hobson RBI single, but couldn’t finish the rally.
Watervliet 18,  Hackett Catholic Central 3 – Game 2
Watervliet erupted for 14 runs in the 1st inning on their way to an 18-3 win over Hackett in game two. Mercede Daugherty drove in three runs for the Panthers. Taylor Shafer and Alyssa Hobson each added two RBIs as Watervliet improves to 21-7 on the season.

Decatur 13,  Bangor 6 – Game 1
Decatur scored five runs in the 1st inning on their way to a 13-6 win over Bangor. The Raiders went on to score in every inning in taking game one of the doubleheader. Alie Copeland picked up the win.
Decatur 13,  Bangor 10 – Game 2
Decatur once again scored in each inning as they defeated the Vikings 13-10 in game two. The Raiders collected 14 hits in the victory. Alie Copeland came on in relief to pick up the win.

Hackett came away with a 4-0 win over Watervliet in game one of their SAC doubleheader. Freshman Garrett Matthews suffered the loss despite allowing just five hits.
Hackett Catholic Central 1,  Watervliet 0 – Game 2
The Irish scored in the bottom of the 7th inning to pull out a 1-0 win over Watervliet in game two. Freshman Cubby Aldrich surrendered just five hits but suffered the loss for the Panthers.

Lawrence 10,  Martin 0 – Game 1
Larry Glista tossed a no-hitter in leading Lawrence to a 10-0 win over Martin in Game one of their SAC doubleheader. Glista struck out eight batters while walking just two. Jacob Alburtus, Jacob Ghidotti, Ethan Payment, and Dylan Matheny each drove in two runs for the Tigers.
Lawrence 5,  Martin 2 – Game 2
Lawrence scored three 1st inning runs on their way to a 5-2 win over Martin in game two. Dylan Matheny picked up the win on the mound, striking out nine. Jacob Alburtus and Hunter Coombs each collected two hits for Lawrence.

Saugatuck 11,  Bloomingdale 0 – Game 1
Saugatuck scored an 11-0 win over Bloomingdale in game one of their SAC doubleheader. Alex Kruithof, Trevor Westenbroek, and Blake Dunn each collected two hits for the Indians. Trevor Westenbroek and Keegan Seifert combined to toss a three hitter.
Saugatuck 16,  Bloomingdale 1 – Game 2
The Indians’ offense continued to roll in game two in a 16-1 win over Bloomingdale. Brad Dunn turned in a one hit, six strikeout performance in picking up the win. The doubleheader sweep lifts Saugatuck to 19-6-1 on the season.
