MONDAY’S RESULTS…

BASEBALL
Michigan Lutheran 9, Benton Harbor 3 – Game 1
Leading 2-1, the Titans put the game away with five runs in the 3rd inning. Alex Ritter drove in four of Lutheran’s nine runs. Daniel Moore and Kaleb Franklin each had two singles in the loss for the Tigers. Andy Semenak picked up the win on the mound for the Titans, recording nine strikeouts.
Benton Harbor 8, Michigan Lutheran 3 – Game 2
Trailing 1-0, Benton Harbor scored two runs in the 2nd inning, three in the 3rd, and two in the 4th on their way to the win. Daniel Moore picked up the win on the mound for the Tigers, recording seven strikeouts. At the plate, Ametrius Fleming had three singles for Benton Harbor. Alex Ritter and Daniel Adams both had a double and an RBI in the loss for Lutheran.

 

South Haven 4, Coloma 1
Drake McFadden was 2-4 at the plate for the Rams with two RBIs and one run scored. Ethan Vandermolen drove in Kevin Hearn for Coloma’s only run. Harrison Gargus picked up the win on the mound for South Haven, allowing just one run on five hits over seven innings.

 

Watervliet 3, Gobles 1 – Game 1
Garrett Matthews went the distance in picking up the win, allowing just three hits while striking out ten. At the plate, Matthews collected a single and a double for the Panthers.
Gobles 6, Watervliet 1 – Game 2
Andrew Chisek pitched well for Watervliet, allowing just one earned run, but suffered the loss. At the plate, he had three singles for the Panthers.

 

Decatur 10, Bloomingdale 0 – Game 1
Jakob Southworth, Justin Gale, and Garrett Smith each went 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs for the Raiders. Southworth picked up the win on the mound, allowing just two hits over five innings.
Decatur 3, Bloomingdale 2 – Game 2
Jakob Southworth went 4-4 at the plate with an RBI for Decatur. Payton Hoekstra went the distance, allowing just two runs on two hits in picking up the win.

Watervliet 14, Gobles 2 – Game 1
The Panthers scattered 17 hits on their way to the win. Natalie Knight had a single and a double with four RBIs for Watervliet. Hannah Hart added a single, a double, and two RBIs. Celina Klimkiewicz picked up the win in the circle.
Watervliet 11, Gobles 4 – Game 2
The Watervliet bats picked up where they left off in game one as they collected 16 hits. Emalie Gitersonke led the offensive attack with three singles and an RBI. Hannah Hart added a single, a double, and two RBIs. Hart picked up the win in the circle.

 

Decatur 11, Bloomingdale 4 – Game 1
Gwendolyn Grosevenor and Erika Debroka each drove in a pair of runs for the Raiders. Regan Rose went 3-4 at the plate and scored three runs. Rose went the distance in picking up the win in the circle.
Bloomingdale 3, Decatur 2 – Game 2
Decatur scored single runs in the 1st and 2nd innings, but that’s all the offense they got in falling to the Cardinals. Bloomingdale pitching limited Decatur to just four hits. Makenna Keller and Mackenna Kusmack each had an RBI in the loss.
