THURSDAY
BASEBALL
St. Joe 3, Gull Lake 1
Gull Lake 5, St. Joe 0
St. Joe went on the road and split their doubleheader at Gull Lake. The Bears captured game one 3-1 as Hunter Waning went 2 for 2 with an RBI. Daniel Agby allowed just three hits to pick up the win.
In game two, Gull Lake scored two in the 1st and two in the 2nd on their way to a 5-0 victory over the Bears. The Blue Devils cranked out 11 hits in the win.

Lake Michigan Catholic 15, Eau Claire 0
Lake Michigan Catholic 15, Eau Claire 0
Lake Michigan Catholic took both ends of a doubleheader with Eau Claire, blanking the Beavers 15-0 in both games. Jack Marszalec picked up the win in game one. Matt Cutter tossed a no-hitter to win game two.

Watervliet 8, Hartford 4
Hartford 9, Watervliet 2
Watervliet scored an 8-4 win over Hartford in game one. Sports Radio 1400 Student Athlete of the Week Ashton Holdridge struck out ten Indians to pick up the win.
Hartford took game two 9-2. The Indians benefitted from a five run 6th inning and nine Watervliet errors.

Lawrence 15, Lawton 0
Lawrence 11, Lawton 5
Lawrence used a 17 hit attack in beating Lawton 15-0 in game one. Derek Gribler collected a single, double, and triple while Hunter Coombs added a pair of singles and three RBIs. Matt Cammire earned the win on the mound for the Tigers.
In game two, Jimmy Phelps turned in a double and three RBIs as Lawrence scored an 11-5 win. Gribler earned the win on the mound.

Saugatuck 15, Bloomingdale 0
Saugatuck 15, Bloomingdale 0
Alec Behrman went 2-2 at the plate with 4 RBI’s as Saugatuck defeated Bloomingdale 15-0 in game one. Sean O’Malley pitched three hitless innings for the win.
In game two, Noah Eveland pitched the Indians to the 15-0 win. Eveland allowed just two hits and struck out five in four innings. At the plate, O’Malley collected 4 hits and drove in 2 runs for Saugatuck.

Lakeshore 17, Loy Norrix 2
Lakeshore swept a doubleheader from Loy Norrix. In game one, Julia Carpenter collected four hits as the Lancers topped the Knights 15-1. Jami Belt picked up the win for Lakeshore.
Lakeshore won game two 17-2 as Jaci Nate collected two singles, a triple, and three RBIs. Taylor Simon struck out four to earn the win.

Lake Michigan Catholic 8, Eau Claire 1
Lake Michigan Catholic used a ten hit attack to beat Eau Claire 10-0 in game one. Mary Koenig turned in a home run and a single for the Lakers. Lauren Goodell picked up the win while striking out nine.
Catholic took game two 8-1. Koenig had another solid performance at the plate, collecting a single, double, and triple. Goodell earned the win in the circle for the Lakers.

Hartford 12, Watervliet 5
Watervliet 12, Hartford 4
Hartford used a 20 hit attack in defeating Watervliet 12-5 in game one of their SAC South doubleheader.
In game two, Kara Liles went 4 for 4 at the plate as with a double and two triples as Watervliet topped Hartford 12-4.

Decatur 9, Marcellus 6
Decatur 15, Marcellus 5
Decatur swept their doubleheader with Marcellus. In game one, the Raiders trailed 6-1 through three innings but scored eight runs in the next three innings to rally for the win. Mikayla Botti went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs.
Decatur used a 12 hit attack to win game two 15-5. Alie Copeland went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for the Raiders.

Hailey Maas, Mackenzie Zabel, and Jessica Arend each scored twice as Michigan Lutheran blanked River Valley 8-0. Maas also added two assists for the Titans. Lutheran ended the night with 30 shots on goal and improves to 5-2.

Lakeshore shot a 347 team total to place 12th in the highly regarded Gull Lake Invitational at Bedford Valley Golf Club near Battle Creek. Logan Steffes led the Lancers by firing a season’s best 78 and finishing 5th individually. Trevor Knuth carded an 89 while Andrew Osborn and Jonah Stoll shot 90.
