TUESDAY’S RESULTS

BOYS BASKETBALL
St. Joe 57, Loy Norrix 41
St. Joe’s defense allowed just 13 points in the first half and the offense surged in the second half as the Bears picked up the win. Brennen Kerns led three Bears in double figures with a game high 22 points. Connor Wright added 11 points and Michael Algyre finished with ten. Mekhi Bloodworth scored 14 in the loss for the Knights.

Lakeshore 61, Portage Northern 33
Already leading by ten after the first quarter, the Lancer defense allowed just one point in the second to seal the win early. Grant Gondrezick paced Lakeshore with 21 points, JJ Bushu added 19. Myles Johnson scored 12 points in the loss for Northern.

Michigan Lutheran 56, Lawrence 19
The Titans ran out to an 8-2 lead after one quarter and extended it to 22-5 at the half. Sam Taylor finished with a game high 20 points for Lutheran, Nick Lockman added ten.

Countryside Academy 64, River Valley 50
La’Marion Gordon poured in a game high 27 points to lead three Cougars in double figures. Jeffrey Brown added 14 points and Jamere Matlock finished with ten. Lennon Lange scored 25 points in the loss for River Valley Ashton McNabb adding 11.

Marcellus 66, Berrien Springs 59
Marcellus fell behind by seven after one quarter, but outscored the Shamrocks by 14 over the next three quarters to pull it out. Gavin Etter paced the Wildcats with 29 points. Brady Ferguson added 14 points and Drake Surach finished with 13.

Niles 59, South Haven 55
The Vikings finished with three players scoring in double figures. Mike Gilcrese led the way with 17 points, Adrian Thomas added 15, and George Pullen netted 13.

Centreville 68, Decatur 27
Sam Todd and Gunner Bunning each scored ten points in leading Centreville past Decatur. Parker Smith scored ten in the loss for the Raiders.

Coloma 75, Constantine 31
Jake Ickes scored a game high 27 points for the Comets with Drew Goodline adding 21.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
St. Joe 48, Loy Norrix 21
St. Joe jumped out to a 17-5 first quarter lead in cruising to the road win. Karly Klaer paced the Bears with 17 points, Symone King added 13.

Lakeshore 46, Portage Northern 34
The Lancer defense allowed just six first half points as Lakeshore took a 21 point lead into the break. Riley Pifer and Gabriella Conway each scored 12 points in leading Lakeshore.

Michigan Lutheran 58, Berrien Springs 18
The Titans ran out to a 12 point lead after the first quarter and continued to pull away the rest of the night. Sophee Garcia scored a game high 13 points for Lutheran. Taneya Shivers led the Shamrocks with eight.

Watervliet 52, Saugatuck 47
A 36 point second half led Watervliet to the come from behind win. Samantha Dietz led three Panthers in double figures with 15 points. Watervliet also got 14 points from Grace Chisek and ten from MJ Flowers.

Niles 51, South Haven 24
The Vikings set the tone early, running out to a 32-8 lead at the half. Natalie Lucero led Niles with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Kamryn Patterson added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and five steals.

Hartford 50, Cassopolis 34
Descenya Rodarte scored 19 points for Hartford as they improve to 5-3 on the season.

Mendon 45, Bangor 29
Leading by just three at the break, the Hornets pulled away in the second half to pick up the win. Alexis Abbott scored eight points in the loss for the Vikings, Ally Burner added seven.

Centreville 41, Decatur 33
Decatur trailed by just four after three quarters, but was outscored 11-7 in the fourth in suffering the loss. Lauren Ogrin finished with eight points for Decatur. Faith Edwards led Centreville with a game high 14 points.

Gobles 61, Fennville 11
The Tigers took a ten point first quarter lead and never looked back in cruising to the win. Amanda Barber led Gobles with 21 points, three assists, and six steals. Karlee Henderson added 16 points and seven rebounds.
