Boys’ Basketball
Lakeshore 58, Gull Lake 53
With Gull Lake leading by four at the half, the Lancers outscored the Blue Devils 18-11 in the third quarter to take control and pick up the SMAC non-division win. Dylan Clem led Lakeshore with 22 points and seven rebounds. The Lancers also got 14 points from JJ Bushu and 12 from Ben Brower.

Bloomingdale 66, Hartford 64
The Cardinals came away with a very hard fought Southwest 10 Conference win over the Indians. Hartford got 21 points from Elijah Rodarte, 16 from Aaron Sinclair, and ten from Kaden Johnson.

Gobles 39, Kalamazoo Hackett 36
After a huge defensive play by Hunter Tenbusschen, Karsen Tackett scored the winning basket on a layup with just under :10 remaining. Tackett then hit two free throws to seal the win. Brady Burnell led Gobles with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots.

The Blue Devils erupted for 32 points in the third quarter to pull away for the SMAC non-division win. Jayden Schmaltz and Hollee Hercik each scored 12 points in the loss for the Lancers.

Watervliet 41, Portage Northern 34
Rebounding and tough defense down the stretch led the Lady Panthers to the non-conference win over the Huskies. Watervliet outscored Northern 12-6 in the pivotal fourth quarter.

New Buffalo 48, Berrien Springs 35
Trailing by four at the half, New Buffalo came out of the locker room and outscored the Shamrocks 31-14 over the final two quarters to pick up the BCS non-division win. Mary Mayer led the Bison with 13 points with Abby Vitale adding ten. Hillary Dortch scored 12 points in the loss for Berrien Springs.

Battle Creek Central 51, Niles 43
Niles outscored Central 15-4 in the second quarter to take an 11 point lead into the break, but couldn’t hold the lead. The Bearcats came out and outscored the Vikings 32-13 over the second half to earn the BCS non-division win. Central’s Arieonna Ware led all scorers with 25 points. Alycia Patterson led Niles with 12 points, five assists, and four steals. Amara Palmer added ten points, four assists, and eight rebounds for the Vikings.
