TUESDAY
BASEBALL
St. Joe 15,  Kalamazoo Central 0 – Game 1
St. Joe cruised to a 15-0 win over Kalamazoo Central in game one of a SMAC non-division doubleheader. Jordan Brewer went 3-3 at the plate with a double and four RBIs. Ben Johanski and Eric Engel tripled for the Bears. Johanski picked up the win on the mound, allowing just three hits in five innings.
St. Joe 9,  Kalamazoo Central 2 – Game 2
The Bears completed the doubleheader sweep with a 9-2 win over the Maroon Giants in game two. Jared Evans and Erin Engel each drove in two runs for St. Joe. Jake Mavis and Ben Johanski both doubled in the win. Logan Morrow went six innings in picking up the win for the Bears.

Lake Michigan Catholic 9, Bangor 3 – Game 1
Lake Michigan Catholic defeated Bangor 9-3 in game one of their non-conference doubleheader. The Lakers had a strong 2nd inning, plating seven runs in the frame. Catholic scattered 11 hits while limiting the Vikings to four.
Lake Michigan Catholic 13, Bangor 1 – Game 2

Comstock 2, Berrien Springs 0 – Game 1
Logan Tiller allowed just three hits in seven innings while pitching Comstock to a 2-0 win over Berrien Springs in game one of their doubleheader. The Colts scored a run in the 4th inning and one in the 5th on their way to the win. Brant Rago had a solid outing for the Shamrocks, allowing just one earned run in seven innings, but suffered the loss.
Berrien Springs 3, Comstock 3 – Game 2 (suspended in 7th)
Game two of the doubleheader made it to the top of the 7th inning with Berrien Springs and Comstock tied at three before it was suspended by darkness. The Shamrocks opened with a run in the 1st inning and added two in the 3rd. The Colts scored single runs in the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th innings.

Buchanan 3, Brandywine 2 – Game 1
Buchanan got by Brandywine 3-2 in game one of their BCS doubleheader. Chad Adkerson went 3-4 at the plate for the Bucks with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Jarrett Thomas went seven innings allowing just four hits in picking up the win.
Buchanan 5, Brandywine 2 – Game 2
A three run 5th inning lifted Buchanan to a 5-2 win over Brandywine and a doubleheader sweep of the Bobcats. Four different players drove in runs for the Bucks who improve to 5-2 on the season.

SOFTBALL
Lakeshore 16, Battle Creek Central 0 – Game 1
A ten run 1st inning propelled Lakeshore to a 16-0 win over Battle Creek Central in game one. Taylor Simon and Jamie Belt combined for a three inning perfect game for the Lancers. They allowed no runs, no hits, and no base runners while striking out eight. At the plate, Julia Carpenter collected three hits and drove in three runs for Lakeshore.
Lakeshore 18, Battle Creek Central 0 – Game 2
The Lancers completed a doubleheader sweep with an 18-0 win over the Bobcats in the night cap. Olivia Freehling homered for Lakeshore while Jackie Nate and Becca Spenner each drove in three runs. Jami Belt and Jackie Nate combined for the shout out win in the circle for the Lancers.

Comstock 9, Berrien Springs 4 – Game 1
Berrien Springs suffered a 9-4 loss to Comstock in game one. The Colts took control early with a six run 1st inning. The Shamrocks rallied with two runs in the 4th and two more in the 7th, but couldn’t overcome the early deficit. Levi Brewer singled, doubled, and drove in a run in the loss for Berrien Springs.
Comstock 14, Berrien Springs 3 – Game 2
The 4th and 5th innings proved crucial as Comstock beat Berrien Springs 14-3 in game two. With the Shamrocks leading 3-2 after three, the Colts pushed seven runs across in the 4th and five more in the 5th in pulling away for the win.

Buchanan 6, Brandywine 5 – Game 1
Ericka Donathen delivered a double and a home run in helping lead Buchanan to a 6-5 win over Brandywine. The Bobcats rallied with two runs in the 7th inning, but the Bucks stopped the comeback bid there for the one run win.
Brandywine 10, Buchanan 8 – Game 2 (6 innings)
An eight run 3rd inning lifted Brandywine to a 10-8 win over Buchanan in game two, which was stopped after six innings due to darkness. Kayla Hartline had two hits for the Bobcats. Jade Mosier singled and tripled in the loss for the Bucks.
