MONDAY
BASEBALL
Edwardsburg 5, St. Joe 3 – Game 1
A three run 4th inning powered Edwardsburg to a 5-3 over St. Joe in game one of their non-conference doubleheader. Jacob Kanaby allowed just one earned run over five innings in picking up the win for the Eddies. Jordan Brewer went 2-3 with two RBIs in the loss for the Bears.
Edwardsburg 8, St. Joe 5 – Game 2
The Eddies completed a doubleheader sweep of St. Joe with an 8-5 win over the Bears. Edwardsburg opened the game with a five run 1st inning, forcing St. Joe to play catch-up the whole game. Jake Robinson earned the win on the mound for the Eddies. Jake Mavis and Dylan Lawrence each drove in two runs for St. Joe.

Watervliet 16, Eau Claire 1 – Game 1
Watervliet erupted for 11 runs in the 2nd inning on their way to a 16-1 win over Eau Claire. Zack Pickens, Tyler Brant, Ryan Chisek and Kody Riley each collected two hits for the Panthers. Brandin Legon picked up the win on the mound.
Watervliet 6, Eau Claire 0 – Game 2
The Panthers swept the doubleheader from the Beavers with a 6-0 win in the night cap. Alex Lefor and Kody Riley each doubled for Watervliet. Bryant Kieft earned the win, striking out eight.

Saugatuck 8, Lawrence 2 – Game 1
Carsie Walker hit two home runs and a double in leading Saugatuck to an 8-2 win over Lawrence in their SAC doubleheader. Four Saugatuck pitchers combined on a seven hit, seven strikeout performance.
Saugatuck 8, Lawrence 3 – Game 2
Saugatuck completed a sweep of Lawrence with an 8-3 win in game two. Carsie Walker hit another home run to fuel the Indians’ offense. Blake Dunn also homered for Saugatuck.

Watervliet 19, Eau Claire 0 – Game 1
It look little time for Watervliet to capture game one of their SAC doubleheader with Eau Claire, defeating the Beavers 19-0. The Panthers plated ten runs in the 1st inning and followed that up with nine runs in the 2nd. Mercede Daugherty collected two triples and three RBIs for Watervliet.
Watervliet 17, Eau Claire 0 – Game 2
The Panter offense picked up where it left off in game two of their doubleheader with Eau Claire, defeating the Beavers 17-0. Watervliet scattered 11 hits in just two innings as they score seven runs in the 1st inning and ten in the 2nd. Mercede Daugherty turned in a single, an inside the park home run, and three RBIs for the Panthers.

Schoolcraft 11, Decatur 4 – Game 1
A four run 5th inning and three run 6th helped lift Schoolcraft to an 11-4 win over Decatur in game one of their SAC doubleheader. The Eagles out hit the Raiders 17-14.
Schoolcraft 13, Decatur 3 – Game 2
The Eagles completed a doubleheader sweep with a 13-3 win over the Raiders in game two. Decatur took an early lead with a two run 1st inning but Schoolcraft responded with seven runs in the 2nd. The Raiders got a run back in the 3rd inning, but that’s as close as they would get the rest of the night.

Lakeshore scored three times in the first half on their way to a 5-1 win over Kalamazoo Central. Avery Bauer, Natalie Stampfly, Emily Wanning, Cassie Pallett, and Kailey Yack each scored for the Lancers.

Delton-Kellogg 2, Coloma 0
Delton-Kellogg defeated Coloma 2-0 in SAC play. The Panthers scored both of their goals in the 1st half and outshot the Comets 17-8.

Kalamazoo Christian 8, Watervliet 0
Kalamazoo Christian defeated Watervliet 8-0. The Comets struck early, scoring in the first minute of play. Christian led 3-0 at the half.

Buchanan 8, Cassopolis 0
Erica Mitchell scored five times in leading Buchanan to an 8-0 win over Cassopolis. Her first goal came 24 seconds into the game. Jessica Lee added two scores for the Bucks with Cora Schau scoring once.

SMAC West Division Jamboree
Lakeshore won the SMAC West Division Jamboree at Orchard Hill Golf Course with a 162. Logan Steffes tied for Medalist honors by firing a 39. Other top scorers for the Lancers were Logan Essig (40), Mitchell Strouts (41), and Perry Melcher (42).
