CHICAGO (AP) _ The Chicago White Sox have activated right fielder Avisail Garcia from the 10-day disabled list.
Garcia is in the lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader Friday against the Oakland Athletics after being sidelined since April 23 because of a strained right hamstring. He was batting .233 with four RBIs in 18 games after hitting .330 and driving in 80 runs a year ago.
The White Sox also activated utility player Leury Garcia (sprained left knee), optioned infielder Jose Rondon to Triple-A Charlotte, and designated outfielder Trayce Thompson for assignment.
