FRIDAY’S RESULTS

BOYS BASKETBALL
Kalamazoo Central 61, Lakeshore 54
In a back-and-forth battle, Kalamazoo Central hung on in the end to pull out the SMAC non-division win. Hutch Ward led four Maroon Giants in double figures with 13 points. Lakeshore had three players score in double figures, led by Grant Gondrezick’s game high 16 points. TJ Mitchell added 14 points and Grant Ruddell finished with 11.

St. Joe 49, Portage Central 41
The Bears grabbed a four points lead after the first quarter, increased it to six at the half, and managed to hold off the Mustangs down the stretch. St. Joe got 11 points from Connor Wright, Joe Brown added eight. Zach MacDonald led Central with nine.

Michigan Lutheran 58, Lawrence 40
Lutheran outscored Lawrence by eight points in the second quarter and by eight again in the fourth to put the Tigers away. Adam Rosenbaum paced the Titans with 16 points, Andy Semenak added 13. Anthony Smith scored nine in the loss for Lawrence.

Countryside Academy 71, Eau Claire 58
La’Marion Gordon led four Cougars in double figures with a game high 19 points. Countryside also got 14 points from Jeffery Brown, 12 from Rylee Carter, and ten from Jamere Matlock. Damarian Travis led Eau Claire with 18 points, Terrance Murphy added 17.

Deven Thompson led Gobles with a game high 17 points, Kennadi Killeen added ten. The Tigers also got seven points and ten assists from Amanda Barber 7 points 10 assists.

Niles 52, South Haven 37
The Vikings ran out to a 14 point lead after the first quarter on their way to the win. Alexis Rauch paced Niles with 17 points, Kamryn Patterson added 16.
