St. Joe 47, Mattawan 35
Luke Hedstrom scored 12 points to help lead the Bears to the SMAC West Division win. St. Joe led by as many as 20 in the second half as they won for the second straight time. Brenned Kerns added eight points for the Bears. Jalen Jones scored ten points in the loss for Mattawan.
Lakeshore 59, Portage Northern 46
A strong fourth quarter performance lifted Lakeshore to the SMAC West Division win. Northern led by one after the first quarter but Lakeshore fought to take a two point lead into the break. Leading by four after three quarters, the Lancers went on to outscore the Huskies by nine in the final period to put it away. JJ Bushu led the Lancers with 16 points, Ben Brower added a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. With the win, Lakeshore remains one game behind Portage Central in the division race.
Countryside Academy 50, Lake Michigan Catholic 40
Charles Booker poured in 15 points in helping lead the Cougars to the BCS White Division win. Jamere Matlock added nine for Countryside. Jake Jozwiak scored ten points in the loss for the Lakers.
Hartford 64, Mendon 60 OT
Aaron Sinclair paced the Indians once again, pouring in a game high 37 points with Elijah Rodarte adding 13.
Fennville 69, Gobles 48
Fennville went on a run late in the second quarter to take an 11 point lead into the half and they never looked back. Karsen Tackett scored 11 points in the loss for Gobles, Brady Burnell added ten.
Centreville 60, Marcellus 50
Down by one at the half, Centreville outscored Marcellus by seven points in the third quarter and by four in the fourth to pull away for the Southwest 10 win. Kaeler Stafne scored 20 points in the loss for the Wildcats with Gavin Etter adding 19.

St. Joe’s offense was held in check as Mattawan pulled off the SMAC West Division upset. The Bears managed just five points in the second quarter and just six in the fourth as they suffered their first division loss of the season. Cailynn Junk scored 12 points in the loss for St. Joe. Abby Owens led Mattawan with ten.
Lakeshore 41, Portage Northern 37
The Lady Lancers picked up their third straight win as they got by Portage Northern in this SMAC West Division contest. Lakeshore rallied to outscore the Huskies by eight in the fourth quarter to pull it out. Ella Jeske scored 13 points to lead the Lancers.
Lake Michigan Catholic 45, Countryside 10
Maggie Tidey led three Lakers in double figures with 12 points. Emily Lage and Claire Lasata each added 11 for the Lakers. Carolyn Deneau led the Cougars with four points.
Portage Central 36, Niles 31
Niles held the Mustangs well below their season average in scoring but it wasn’t enough as they dropped the SMAC West Division match-up. Amara Palmer scored a game high 14 points in the loss for the Vikings, Alycia Patterson added 12 points and five steals.
Hartford 48, Mendon 25
Megan Nelson scored 13 points in leading the Indians to the Southwest 10 win as they improve to 9-6 on the season. Jaelyne Galvan added 11 points for Hartford and Alexis Snodgrass finished with nine.
