Elliot Uzelac announces his retirement from coaching

A former division 1 college head coach, at Navy and Western Michigan, and was an assistant coach under Bo Schembechler at Michigan, has finally called it a career.  Elliot Uzelac announced his retirement from coaching after serving as head coach at Berrien Springs the past three seasons.  Uzelac was 20-8 in his tenure with the Shamrocks.   Uzelac came to the area in 2006 taking over a St. Joe program that had just gone 0-9 the year before.  Turning around the Bears, going 6-5 in 2006, then a state semifinals appearance the next year going 12-1.   Uzelac went 45-13 in five seasons at St. Joe.  Uzelac then spent three seasons at Benton Harbor starting in 2015, revitalizing the Tigers program. going 21-11, including an undefeated 2016 regular season.
