Catholic Wins Second Straight Soccer District Championship

It came down to a shoot out, but in the end, the Lake Michigan Catholic Boys’ Soccer team captured the Division 4 District Championship with a 3-2 win over Hartford.

Tied at two after regulation, the Lakers and Indians played two scoreless overtime periods.  In the shootout, Nati Schueneman connected on Catholic’s first shot.  AJ Janson, Zack Osborn, and Danny McEachen also found the net to lift the Lakers to the victory.  Regulation goals came from Janson an McEachen.

Catholic advances to face Kalamazoo Hackett in the Division 4 Regional Semi-Finals Tuesday in Lawton.
