Mikaela Owen of Bridgman High School Track and Soccer is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of April 14, 2019.
In the Bee’s track meet against Buchanan, Mikaela won the 100 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Dash, 400 Meter Dash, and Long Jump. Then, in the same evening, she scored a goal in their soccer match against Brandywine.
Mikaela is also a member of the Bridgman Cross Country team, National Honor Society, Key Club, Young Life, and DECA. In the classroom, she carries a 4.14 grade point average.
Mikaela is the daughter of Brad and Molly Owen of Bridgman.
Other finalists for the week were Laney Mead of Lakeshore Softball and Bailey Siglow of Lake Michigan Catholic/Bridgman Tennis.
