Benton Harbor’s postseason run came to an end with a 78-49 loss to New Haven in the Class B State Semi-finals. The Rockets set the tone early, jumping out to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter and building a 24 point halftime advantage. The Tigers started to claw their way back going on an 8-0 run to start the third quarter, but the rally ended there as New Haven then went on their own 8-0 run to regain control.
Elijah Baxter led Benton Harbor with 14 points, Carlos Johnson added nine. Eric Williams paced New Haven with a game high 23 points.
Benton Harbor ends the season at 22-4. New Haven improves to 26-1 and advances to face Ludington for the Class B State Championship.
