HE STRUCK OUT SEVEN AND RETIRED THE LAST 11 BATTERS HE FACED. THE OUTING WAS THE LONGEST FOR COLE SINCE HE THREW A COMPLETE GAME AGAINST SEATTLE ON JULY 27, 2106. JOSH BELL AND SEAN RODRIGUEZ HOMERED AND DROVE IN A COMBINED FIVE FOR PITTSBURGH, WHICH HAS WON SIX OF ITS LAST EIGHT. NICHOLAS CASTELLANOS DROVE IN TWO RUNS WITH HIS AMERICAN LEAGUE-LEADING NINTH TRIPLE FOR THE TIGERS, WHO HAVE LOST FIVE OF SIX.
